Cancellation of events and classes

Introduction

Depending upon the policies that have been configured within reserVie, clients are able to cancel events / classes.

Getting started

As with all elements of the customer portal, the customer needs to first log in to their account. The account is accessed using your unique access address.

Once logged in, the customer can navigate to and cancel any permitted events. Once logged in, the customer should select the ‘Manage bookings’ option


Cancelling an event

Once the customer has navigated to the ‘manage bookings’ section, all future events will be listed.

Events with a greyed out ‘cancel’ button indicate that the event cannot be cancelled by the customer. The reason can be as follows:

  • Event payment method is not currently support by the cancellation functionality

  • The account policy is setup to disallow refunds for the corresponding payment method

  • The date / time is now beyond that permitted for cancellations.

If a class can be cancelled, the corresponding event will have a ‘red’ cancel button.

Upon clicking the the ‘red' butt’, the customer is prompted to confirm the action

If the user is happy to continue, then the ‘Yes, cancel class’ button should be clicked. Upon clicking the ‘Yes, cancel class’ button, the customer’s class will be cancelled and:

  1. If the customer originally paid by pass, their pass will be re-credited with the corresponding pass credits.

  2. If the customer originally paid for the event date directly via credit card, the card is refunded with the original fee.
