How payments work on reservie
When a customer pays for a booking on reservie, Stripe charges their card securely and the money settles directly into your own Stripe account. reservie deducts its per-transaction fee automatically and never holds your funds. Here it is, step by step.

reservie takes its small fee
reservie automatically deducts its per-transaction fee (2% on Starter, 1.5% on Growth, 0% on Pro), and Stripe deducts its card-processing fee at its prevailing rate. Everything else is yours.
Your money, your account
Where does your money go?
Your money goes into your own Stripe account — not reservie’s. Every studio on reservie has its own full Stripe account, created through Stripe’s own onboarding when you sign up (or connected, if you already have one). Payments from your customers settle there directly.
Because the account is yours, so is the control: you set the payout schedule and see every transaction in your own Stripe dashboard. reservie’s only part in the money is the small per-transaction fee it deducts automatically — 2% on Starter, 1.5% on Growth and 0% on Pro. Security & compliance
Is my customers’ card data safe?
Yes, because reservie never handles it. Card details are captured and tokenized entirely by Stripe, whose infrastructure is certified to the highest card-industry standard.

Stripe is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider, the most stringent level of card-industry certification. Because Stripe handles the card data, your studio and reservie stay outside that sensitive scope.
Strong Customer Authentication built in
Where a bank requires extra verification (SCA / 3D Secure), Stripe handles the challenge automatically during checkout, so payments stay compliant without you doing anything.
No double charges
reservie sends every payment to Stripe with an idempotency key, so a flaky connection or a double-tap on “Pay” can never charge your customer twice.

Does reservie use Stripe for payments?
Yes. reservie processes all card payments through Stripe, one of the world’s largest payment providers, using Stripe Connect. Every booking, pack, voucher and membership payment on reservie is charged securely by Stripe.
Do I get paid directly, or does reservie hold my money?
You are paid directly. Payments settle into your own Stripe account and Stripe pays out to your bank on the schedule you choose. reservie never holds or delays your money; its only part is the small per-transaction fee, deducted automatically.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes — and that’s a good thing, because it means the money is yours from the moment it’s paid. When you sign up, reservie sends you to Stripe’s own onboarding to create an account (or connect one you already have). It takes a few minutes and you keep full control of it.
Is my customers’ card data safe?
Yes. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and tokenized by Stripe, which is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider. reservie never sees or stores raw card numbers, and Stripe handles bank verification (SCA / 3D Secure) automatically.
What are the fees?
reservie plans start at £3/month. Starter carries a 2% per-transaction fee (min 28p), Growth 1.5% (min 28p) and Pro 0%. Stripe’s own card-processing fees are charged separately by Stripe on each transaction — see our pricing page for the full breakdown.
What happens to a payment if I cancel a booking or issue a refund?
Whether a booking is refundable is up to your own refund policy. Where you allow a refund, you issue it from reservie and Stripe returns the money to the customer’s original card; how long it takes to reach their bank is down to Stripe. reservie’s per-transaction fee is non-refundable.
Which countries and currencies does reservie support?
reservie supports studios in the UK, Europe, Australia and the United States, taking payment in pounds sterling (GBP), euros (EUR), Australian dollars (AUD) and US dollars (USD). Your Stripe account is set up in your own country and currency when you connect it.
