What it is
Every class, pass, subscription and schedule you share has a readable web address, made from its name:
reservie.net/hub/meadowyoga/morning-vinyasa-flow
Rather than:
reservie.net/hub/meadowyoga/event/19281
It is the same page either way. The readable one is what you put on a flyer, read down the phone, or send to somebody.
Why it is worth caring about
It sounds cosmetic. It is not.
You can say it out loud and someone can type it. “Morning vinyasa flow” survives a phone call; a number does not. It also tells people what is on the other end before they click, whether that is in a text message, a search result or a link preview.
And it looks like a real business. A page at /event/19281 looks like a database record, because that is what it is. Search engines read those words too, so the address quietly helps people find the class.
You do not have to do anything
Addresses are made for you, from the name. “Morning Vinyasa Flow” becomes morning-vinyasa-flow: spaces become hyphens, capitals become lowercase, and anything that is not a letter, number or hyphen is dropped.
You only need to touch it if you want something shorter or clearer.
Changing one
You will find the web address under Get code on a class, pass, subscription or schedule, with a copy button. That is also where you change it.
The admin checks as you type and tells you if what you have written will not work. The rules are:
- Between 3 and 60 characters.
- Lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens.
- Not numbers on their own.
- A few words are reserved because reservie already uses them in its own addresses, such as
hub,admin,accountandcheckout. The admin will say so if you pick one.
Changing an address breaks the old one. Anything you have already shared, printed or posted stops working. It is worth settling on an address before it goes on a poster, and leaving it alone afterwards.
Two studios can have the same address
This is the part that sounds like it ought to be a problem, and is not.
An address only has to be unique within your own studio. Another studio can have morning-vinyasa-flow at the same time as you, and neither of you affects the other, because your studio name is already in the address:

Think of it as rooms in a building. Every studio has its own floor, and two studios can both have a room called Studio One without anyone getting lost, because you always arrive by way of their floor.
So you are not competing with the rest of reservie for names, and you will never lose the obvious address for your class because somebody else got there first. Within your own account reservie will not let you use one address for two different things, because then it would not know which to show.
When a class changes
Renaming a class does not change its address. That is deliberate. An address that moved every time you tidied up a class name would break every link you had already shared. If you want the address to match the new name, change it yourself.
Archiving frees the address up, so something else can use it. If you bring the class back and nothing has taken the address in the meantime, it gets it back.
Short addresses
When you publish a landing page you also get a short version for print and social media:
rsvi.uk/meadowyoga
